Berlin RAW, an exhibition of the photos of Yuto Yamada, a Japanese photographer living in Berlin, opens this evening at the Urban Spree Galerie in Friedrichshain’s RAW Gelände.

A quick look at Yamada’s Instagram stream reveals a fascination with the high-rise skyline of Tokyo and the abandoned buildings of Berlin.
According to the Urban Spree website:
Berlin RAW is a photographic journey and modernist tale of two apparently opposed metropolises, the hi-tech Tokyo and the lo-fi Berlin, a Berlin that nonetheless dreams a modernist dream of steel and glass.
