I have added the photos of the Stolpersteine I have seen in Berlin over the past week to the photo gallery here.
They were the memorials to: Irma Rosenthal, Karla Rosenthal and Ellen Rosethal outside 12 Neue Schönhauser Strasse; and Judel Laufer, Czarna Laufer, Rita Laufer and Margot Laufer outside 10 Neue Schönhauser Strasse.
I have walked passed these and many others that I’m sure I will soon find in the Scheunenviertel so many times I can’t believe that I have missed them. It just goes to show that the more familiar a place becomes, the more you notice the details. I’m looking forward to all the other discoveries I will make.
My first post about Stolpersteine gives more background about these memorials to the victims of National Socialism created by artist Gunter Demnig.
