Stolpersteine 2 and 3

Stolpersteine 2: In memory of Regina Schrimmer (Auguststrasse 17) in Berlin

When I went out for a walk this afternoon I was hoping to find some more Stolpersteine to photograph.  Even with this in mind and having spent a lot of time studying the pavement I almost missed this memorial to Regina Schrimmer on Auguststrasse in Mitte.  The building in front of which it is laid is currently being renovated and the stone is under a walkway created by the scaffolding erected for the building work.

My first post about Stolpersteine gives more background about these memorials to the victims of National Socialism created by artist Gunter Demnig.

The numbering in the title of this post refers to the locations rather than the number of stones that I have come across as there might be (and in the case of my first sighting were) multiple stones outside one building.  As I returned home I also stopped to photograph this stone on Kastanianallee, laid in memory of Frieda Katz.

These pictures have been posted to a gallery, along withthe other Stolpersteine I have seen here.
